Mary H. Webster-Abitz, 84, of Juneau passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau, Wisconsin.
A memorial gathering for Mary will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until Noon at the Juneau United Methodist Church, 127 E. Oak Grove Street, Juneau. A memorial service will begin at Noon with Rev. Renae Dymond officiating.
Mary was born on November 25, 1940 the youngest daughter of Wayne and Helen (Straseburg) Webster in West Bend, Wisconsin. On November 5, 1994, she was united in marriage with Raymond L.W. Abitz in Juneau, Wisconsin.
Mary had been employed as a social worker for Dodge County for 25 years, working in foster care training. Mary was very community active. She was involved in The Friends of the Juneau Public Library. Mary was an active and faithful member of the Juneau United Methodist Church, Shared Covenant Ministries of Horicon, Lowell and Juneau. Mary and Ray were avid square dancers. They met, fell in love and shared 30 years together all beginning with the Swinging Beaver’s square dancing. Together they enjoyed 18 years of winter trips to Florida. Mary had a passion for gardening and grew beautiful flowers that she loved to care for.
Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Ray and his daughters: Tina Prust and Wendy Fields; three grandchildren: Derek Abitz, Maalik Fields and Jacob Prust; and her brother Robert Webster. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Jean Davis and Doris Williams; her nephew Lane Williams and her great nephew Orrin.
