Mary K. Rothschild

Mary K. Rothschild, age 80, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Beaver Dam Care Center.

The gathering will be at Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The memorial service will follow at the church on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jason Ruis officiating. Inurnment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus on Monday around 1:30 p.m.

Mary Kay Leyson was born on June 19, 1943 in Columbus, Wisconsin to Waldo and Elaine (Larson) Leyson. On June 5, 1975, she was united in marriage with Clarence Rothschild. Mary worked as a nurse’s aide in Madison for many years and was hired by many as a personal housekeeper. She worked at a few factories in the Madison area as well. Mary was a long-time member of Faith Community Church. She enjoyed painting and doing crafts and was always going to Polka dances in the area. Her favorite past-time was visiting with friends.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Melissa Henson and family; grandchildren, Sara Oestreich, Sonoma and Shayne Huebner; siblings, Barbara Salveson of Sauk City and David (Nancy) Leyson of Oshkosh; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Michael Huebner; and siblings, Jeanne Haroldson, Richard Leyson and Patricia Bernal.
