Mary L. Stange

Mary L. Stange, 85, of the township of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. The Rev. Michael Erwin will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and also on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Mary Louise was born the daughter of Anthony and Louise (Hartl) Meyer on January 24, 1931 in Beaver Dam. She was a 1949 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Mary was married to Frederick “Fritz” Stange on June 18, 1955 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Mary farmed with her husband, Fritz on their family farm for many years. She also worked at the American National Bank in Beaver Dam for 35 years. Mary was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam and served as a member of the Catholic Women. Mary is survived by her husband, Frederick “Fritz” of Beaver Dam; her two children: Daniel (Jodi) Stange of Howards Grove and Sandra (Richard) Hughes of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren: Katrina (Jacob) Wietzke, Erin Stange, and Brianna Stange; sisters-in-law: Evaline (Herbert) Lidtke, Helen Zweig; brother-in-law, Herman Stange; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: William (Olive), Clarence (Doris), Ray and Walter (Blanche) Meyer; and three sisters: Evelyn (Joseph) Kuzniewicz, Anna Barbara (Elmer) Fischer, and Hilda (Richard) Schwandt; brothers-in-law: Clarence (Mary Ellen) Stange, Earl Stange, Milton (Evelyn) Stange, Merlin Zwieg; sisters-in-law, Betty Stange, Ethel (Jerry) Nedow.
