Merlin C. Dohrman, age 95, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the Columbus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Merlin Carl Dohrman was born on May 7, 1911, in Mayville, the son of William and Minnie (Dallman) Dohrman. In 1952 he was united in marriage to Mary Meyers in Angola, Indiana. Merlin was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1953. He and his wife owned and operated Midwest Unit Step in Beaver Dam until his retirement. Merlin enjoyed racing and was a flagman at the Raceway Park in Beaver Dam and other racetracks for many years.
Survivors include, his son, Allan Dohrman of Florida, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary on January 18, 1983 and his sister Alice Albert.
