Michael J. Zimmer

Michael J. Zimmer, age 72, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hillside Manor. The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The visitation will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Cherie Forret officiating. Michael John Zimmer was born on February 24, 1945. He was a 1963 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On June 12, 1965, Michael was united in marriage with Carol Hron at Trinity Church – United Methodist. Mike is a retiree of John Deere in Horicon where he worked as an inventory checker for many years. He was a proud Boy Scout and in his past, he was a hockey coach. Survivors are his wife, Carol; daughter, Traci Zimmer; son, Randy Zimmer; grandson, Zakk Benter, all of Beaver Dam; siblings, Wayne Zimmer of Omro, Thomas (Liz) Brennecke and Patricia (George) Booth, all of Watertown; sister-in-law, Penny Brennecke; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Erna (Hron) Zimmer; and siblings, Rita Sammataro, Gerald Brennecke, and Ralph (Rosemary) Zimmer.
