Milton F. Kohl

Milton Kohl, 87, passed away peacefully at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun surrounded by his family on Friday, October 13, 2017. Milton was born on June 18, 1930 in Beaver Dam to Frank and Clara (Pfeffer) Kohl. He was a 1949 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and then entered the U.S. Navy until 1954. Milton was married to Caroline Rogers on September 10, 1955 in Beaver Dam. He was co-owner of Kohl Cleaners and worked as a window cleaner in the Beaver Dam, Waupun, and Mayville areas for 60 years until 2014 at the age of 84. Milton worked hard, was friendly, and enjoyed conversation with everyone. Milton in survived by his wife, Caroline; his sons: Michael Kohl of Beaver Dam and Alan (Diane) Kohl of Waupun; his daughter, Patricia Kohl of Beaver Dam; two sisters: Sharon Kohl and Carolyn Bibow both of Beaver Dam; two nephews: Steve and Jeff Kohl of CA; three grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Hermine Kohl. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Merlin Kohl in 2010. A memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Military honors will follow at the funeral home conducted by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146.
