Nancy Joyce Wiersma was born in Portage, Wisconsin to the late John and Cora (Jansma) Wiersma. She attended Cambria High School and graduated in 1960. On September 16, 1960, she was united in marriage with Conrad Vande Streek in Friesland.
Nancy loved her grandchildren and tried to attend as many of their sporting events as possible; as a result, if she wasn’t visiting Montana, she and Conrad were planning the next trip out west. Nancy and Conrad enjoyed taking rides in the car and would often leave with no intended destination and set off just to enjoy the back roads and each other’s companionship. Nancy enjoyed hobbies such as playing piano, sewing, quilting, and directing the church choir. Nancy was a member of Living Hope Community Church in Fox Lake.
Survivors include her two children, Amy (Andre) Vanterpool of Kalispell, MT and Dean (Gail) Vande Streek of Stevens Point; two grandchildren, Sage and Dawson Vanterpool of Kalispell, MT; three step grandchildren, Joel Collins of Plainfield, Thomas Collins of Stevens Point, and Katie (Preston Genett) Collins of Stevens Point; her three siblings, Robert (Karen) Wiersma, Harley Wiersma (Karen Dolger), and CJ (Ryan) Akers; a sister-in-law, Sandy Wiersma; other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Steve Wiersma.
