Osborne E. “Ozzie” Cikanek

Osborne E. “Ozzie” Cikanek, 76, of Hartford passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home. Osborne was born the son of Emil and Myrtle (Barnum) Cikanek on October 4, 1938 in Black River Falls, WI. He was a graduate of Mayville High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Germany and Libya. Ozzie was married to Ramone Husdin, who preceded him in death. He was later married to Myrna Troeller on March 5, 1994 at their home in Hartford. Ozzie spent his working career in the construction industry. He was employed as a general contractor for Embassy Homes. Later, he was self-employed as a carpenter and contractor. Ozzie enjoyed traveling and meeting people. He especially had a passion for hunting. Ozzie is survived by his wife, Myrna of Hartford; his granddaughter, Samantha Cikanek (Burks) and Kenneth Burks of Horicon; his daughter-in-law, Nedra Cikanek of Horicon; his sister, Evelyn; and further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sons: Scott and Greg, his grandson, Jacob and his sister, Ethel. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Horicon from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.
