Patrice A. Hartl, age 64, died Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Columbus Hospital following a 2 month illness.
There will be a gathering at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. A Celebration of Patrice’s Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. John Leiting will be the celebrant.
Patrice Ann was born on November 22, 1959 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late James and Darlene (Welch) Schmitt. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1977. Patrice worked at several Beaver Dam area restaurants before owning and operating Cousin Subs. She was dedicated to her business and was extremely hard-working; she always appreciated the support of her customers and greeted them with a smile. Patrice retired in June of 2023 after twenty years. Patrice liked to relax by sitting on her porch with her dog and enjoying a glass of chardonnay. She loved her grandchildren and would follow their activities and looked forward to their times together. Patrice was a decorator and always had her house dressed up for the various holidays throughout the year. Some of Patrice’s favorite pastimes were boating, going on Poker Runs with friends, and shopping. She also enjoyed throwing parties at her home and they always included great food and new recipes. Patrice always spoiled those close to her with gifts, and more importantly, her love.
Survivors include her three sons, Mitchell Hartl (Sabrina Shaw) of Beaver Dam, Matthew (Paula) Hartl of Randolph, and Maclain Hartl of Watertown; five grandchildren, Jasper, Blair, Monroe, Knox, and Willow; her fiancé, Lee Heintz of Beaver Dam; four siblings, Pamela (Leo) Baldus of Beaver Dam, Paula Milarch of Beaver Dam, Thomas (Judith) Schmitt of Beaver Dam, and Claudia (Paul) Clark of Florida; her dog Maxwell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Patrice was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Warren Milarch.
