Oh God, no! There is nothing to say to console the loss of a child except we send our love. We were on vacation in TX and just now catching up on FB. Our hearts break for all of you. We'll be in touch in the near future but if there is anything we can do right now, we are here and please don't hesitate to ask!
We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your son Patrick. There are no words to express our sorrow.
I had the honor of working for Pat as his Production Manager since he started at Charter Steel. I appreciated everything he taught me about driving success every day and challenging others along with myself to excel. My heart goes out to his daughter Charlie and the rest of the family during this time of healing.
We are so sad to hear of Patrick's passing...sending our DEEPEST sympathy to your entire family!
My deepest condolences to Pat’s daughter and his entire family. I had the privilege of working with Pat over the last two years, and from the very beginning he felt like a friend. He always had a smile and a quick wit that brightened every interaction. He will truly be remembered and greatly missed.
Pat and I went to high school together. I didn’t really get to know him till we both were stand #1 cooks at the Kane County Cougars. He was such a funny, hardworking guy. We quickly became friends. Even after he went away to college he’d still call every time he was back in town and we’d meet up at Ernie McCanns for karaoke, drinks and lots of laughs. I haven’t seen Pat in years, but loved keeping up with his life through social media and a message here and there. He will be deeply missed. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.
My deepest condolences to the entire Metke family and everyone that knew and loved Pat. He was a dear friend and will be dearly missed. I will always cherish the all the time Pat and I spent duck hunting and fishing in our younger years. Pat was a master outdoorsman and always a lot of fun to be in the enjoying nature with.
We are so sorry for your loss. We remember great times with Pat, Adam, and Zach. What great buddies they were. I remember many duck hunting trips spent at our cottage on the Mississippi River. Great experiences for young fellows growing up.
Our deepest sympathies to you.
I am deeply saddened to hear of Pat's sudden death. He and I were good friends in middle school. He was always into anything outdoors and we bonded heavily over that. I even got to go with him and his family fishing in Wisconsin where i caught my first Northern Pike. I remember when, in science class we were messing around and pulling our chairs out from underneath each other until we got in trouble. Unrelated to that, he's the reason why i had a half day suspension too! When we were together, we always had a great time.
He will be missed by many more than he would ever know.
Condolences to Patrick’s family.
I worked with Patrick briefly at Ariens company. He was a hard-working guy, he will be missed.
Rick and Kathy so sorry for your loss.
I went to middle school and high school with Pat. I remember him as a die hard Packers fan (even tho I was a Bears fan we were still friends), and a kind hearted person who was easy to talk to, loved the outdoors, hunting and Wisconsin. I played football with Pat, and he never took a play off, grinded out every practice and influenced others through his hard work. Lost touch with Pat over the years, but to his family and friends, my heartfelt condolences. A good, kind person, who no doubt was raised by a good family. Sorry for their loss and for his passing.
I went to school with Pat at Batavia, and one of my favorite memories is goose hunting at Horicon Marsh. I made sure to avoid the electric fence by the blind, but Pat went right up and touched it anyway, and we couldn’t stop laughing. Thank you for all the great times and memories. I’ll see you in the next blind, chasing geese together again.
Sending my deepest condolences to the Metke family. Pat was a great boss and even better friend.
Dear Rick,

I hope that, in time, the many cherished memories of Patrick will bring you comfort and help ease the sorrow you are experiencing.
Sincerely,
Kim Shannon
So sorry for my dear friend and his awesome family. We were so close as neighbors but even closer as friends. The countless hours playing chess and all that comes with it. God bless Charlie and his loving mom Kathy and dad Rick. He was a great man who will not be replaced. Love you my friend. Until we meet again...
I am so sorry Kathy and Rick. My heart goes out to you and all the family and friends. May the good Lord hold you all close at this time 💙🙏
