Paul JC Kruel Jr, age 71 passed away suddenly on Friday, February 28,
2014 at the Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Florida.
He was born to Paul Sr. and Doris (Spettel) on June 23, 1942 in the Octagon House where he resided until his death. Paul was a 1960 graduate of Horicon High School. After he graduated he joined the National Guard where he served as a medic. Following his service, Pauly ran Kruel’s Dairy with his father until he retired in the late 1990’s. Pauly also owned Kruel’s Insurance Company where he was an agent for Badger Mutual. He was a longtime volunteer for the Horicon Fire Department and ElVIS. Pauly worshiped at St. Stephens Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon, WI.
Pauly was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. Even more than his fondness of Wisconsin sports was his love for the St. Louis Rams. He was a devoted fan through criticism, tough years, rebuilding years and the occasional winning season. Pauly also spent many years coaching boy’s baseball in Horicon. He was also spent summers of the past playing softball and golf. Among his pastimes Paul enjoyed traveling. He spent much of the summer season in Eagle River, WI and escaped winters to Lake Placid, Florida with his companion Lynda. He also enjoyed arguing politics with people.
Paul is survived by his significant other, Lynda Schoenfeld ,Eagle River, WI, sisters- Jennie(Thomas)Heideman, and Janet (Michael) Kasten, all of Horicon, three nephews and one niece- Justin (Jenifer) Kasten, Waukesha, Jodi (Jason) Neuberger Beaver Dam, Christopher (Megan) Heideman, Waunakee, Benjamin(Kimberly)Heideman, Oshkosh, 9 great nieces and nephews- Keytra, Rayanna, Kyler, Maudie, Cole, Gavyn, Charlie, Khloe and Allie, aunts, uncles
and many cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parent Doris & Paul Kruel, Sr., aunts, uncles, and cousins.
