Pearl Frances Limberg, was born on February 5, 1921, in Janesville, Wisconsin to the late Frederick and Ella (Gorr) Oestreich. Pearl passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 21, 2024, after 103 amazing years.
She loved most, spending time with her family. She met her future husband, WWII Veteran Robert J. Limberg, on a blind date and on July 8, 1939, they were united in marriage in Waupun. They lived above the Do Drop in Tavern they owned and operated in Waupun for three years. Pearl also worked at the Shoe Factory for 29 years before retiring.
Pearl was the sweetest and kindest person. She had a passion for music and dancing. She taught her kids the importance of faith, hard work, and grace. She was an amazing wife of 76 years, a loving grandmother and great grandmother, and the best mother to her four children. She was such a blessing to us all.
Pearl was an active member of the community and was part of a group that started Little League Baseball in Beaver Dam. She was an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam as well as a member of the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 in Beaver Dam.
Pearl is survived by her daughters LouAnn Hughes of Merritt Island, Kathleen Prieve of Beaver Dam; son-in-law Robert Hughes of Merritt Island, her sister Virginia Juoni of Fond du Lac, daughter-in-law Sarah Limberg of Beaver Dam; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
