She was a 1955 graduate of Juneau High School, followed by Milwaukee Cosmetology School. Phyllis was united in marriage with Ronald Schoenwetter at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman on June 6, 1959. She worked at the National Beauty Salon in Watertown for many years. Phyllis was a Sweetheart of the Lowell VFW and was a longtime member of the Lowell United Church of Christ, where she was involved with the ladies aid for a number of years. Phyllis had a love for nature. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, tending to the yard and watching the wild life that their country home had to offer. She enjoyed watching the many species of birds that she fed from her back deck. Raising her family and enjoying the outdoors brought peace to her life. Survivors are her husband, Ronald Schoenwetter of Reeseville; children, Denise (James) Wild of Reeseville, and Michael Schoenwetter of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Samantha (Deven) Adams, Alexandra Wild, and Stephanie Wild; great granddaughter, Emelia Adams; brother, Richard (Rita) Greinert of Clyman; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Schoenwetter of Johnson Creek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, William Schoenwetter. If desired, memorials may be made in Phyllis Schoenwetter’s name to Lowell United Church of Christ.
