Ramona C. Elliott, 96, of Beaver Dam went to heaven to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
A memorial gathering for Ramona will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 400 Hillcrest Drive, Beaver Dam. A memorial service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Jesse Gullion officiating. Inurnment will be at Randolph Cemetery at a later date.
Ramona was born on August 11, 1928 the daughter of William and Leona (Christian) Bobholz in Randolph, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Baraboo High School. She had been employed at the Hotel Rogers for 10 years and later at Walmart for over 23 years, retiring when she was in her 80’s.
Ramona was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, where she found great joy in faith and her church community. She enjoyed puzzles, readings and games. She loved to spend time with family. At age 70, she embraced her adventurous side, going parasailing and power parachuting. She also flew with her son Kip in his airplane. A devoted aviation enthusiast, she attended the EAA yearly, finding inspiration in the legacy of Amelia Earhart. She was also a loyal fan of the Brewers and the Packers.
She will be deeply missed by her children: David (Carol) Duehring of Harpswell, ME, Cindy (Russ) Schrab of Beaver Dam, Kip (Luann) Elliott of Beaver Dam, and Joy Rahn of Beaver Dam; 12 grandchildren: Deanna (Michael) Murazzo, Michael (Deanna LaPorte) Duehring, Amber Rincon, Krista (Adam) Neils, Colton Elliott, Westin Elliott, Dustin Rahn, Erik Rahn, Tom Bull, Peter (Charlotte) Bull, Jackie (Bucky) Wendlandt and Curt Lindeman; 25 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She is further survived by nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Dorothy Martin and Delores Mitchell and her grandniece Heather Berglund.
She will be dearly missed by her family, her church, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
