Richard A. Zinke

Richard A. Zinke, 80, of Brownsville passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Richard was born the son of Alfred and Ella (Schmeling) Zinke on March 20, 1937 in the township of Byron. He was a 1955 graduate of Lomira High School. Richard was married to Sharon A. Christian on August 24, 1974 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau. Richard together with his family farmed in the township of Byron on the Zinke Dairy Farms. Richard was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Brownsville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Lomira American Legion. Richard enjoyed reading, spending time with his grandchildren, and his life farming with his family. Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon; his sons: Mark (fiancée Kylene Harris) Zinke of Brownsville and Daniel (Jodi) Zinke of Waupun; four grandchildren: Ella, Brianna, Kallie, and Kristine; his sister, Lois (Duane) Nelson of Madison; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father and mother-in-law, Erwin and Martha Christian.A visitation will be held at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Brownsville on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at the church. Rev. William Carter will officiate. Interment will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Brownsville.Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Brownsville, WLA, or to Time of Grace.
