Dear Sharon and Family, I was so saddened to learn of Dick's passing. Please know that you and your family will be in my prayers. I was thinking of the Friday nights that the guys would go out to the farm and play basketball. Those were some fun times. I worked at Columbus Products one summer and would see him, occasionally and he always had a smile on his face. Sharon, I hold you and your family in prayer and know that God is with you today, tomorrow and forever. Dick is in his Heavenly home, free of all illness.....probably playing basketball ;) Love, peace and the consolation that only God can give to you and your family.
So sorry for your loss. The community will miss being outside and seeing Richard driving by with Sharon and waving to everyone. You will always be remembered.
I am sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I was three years younger than Dick in Columbus High School and loved watching him play basketball for good old CHS. I left Columbus many years ago but when I would see Dick and Sharon (usually at the 4th of July parades) they were both so friendly and would take the time to say hello. Seems like the people who were part of our youth in Columbus are becoming fewer and fewer but the memories stay strong. Rest in peace Dick; you have earned it.
I was so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a kind and caring person that I'm glad to have known. My sympathies to you, Sharon, and your family.
