Robert J. LaBlanc

On July 4th, 2024, Robert (Bob) J. LaBlanc, beloved husband of Grace (Meyer) LaBlanc and loving father of Debra LaBlanc, Kristen LaBlanc, Nancy Wolfe, and Brian LaBlanc, passed away at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau, Wisconsin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on July 19, 2024, at 11a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon with the Rev. Fr. Mark Brandl presiding. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Military Honors will be conducted by the Horicon American Legion Post #157.

Born December 22, 1940, to Philip and Helen (Etten) LaBlanc he had an active childhood growing up in Stanley, Wisconsin where he played basketball, football, and developed a lifelong love of hunting. He relocated to Milwaukee where he met Grace ultimately leading to a loving, lifelong marriage. He also served in the United States Air Force for a time in Alaska before settling permanently back in Wisconsin where he worked, raised his family, and coached many grades of school basketball.

He was preceded by his parents, Philip and Helen LaBlanc and his sister Maureen Fisch. He is survived by his wife and his 4 children, his sister Sharone Zielke, his 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was a man who was loved by any who met him, never shy and an eager storyteller. He was a lover of birds, a passionate sports player and fan, and a lifelong hunter that he generously shared with family and friends. His character brought a smile to all and he was a testament to a life filled with laughter, joy, and love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as everyone who had the good fortune to know him was left better.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Bob may be directed to the Dodge County Humane Society.
