Robert Schimmel

November 4, 1951 - July 1, 2016

Robert C. Schimmel, age 64, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at his home in Clyman. Private funeral services were held. Robert Charles Schimmel was born on November 4, 1951 in Hustisford, Wisconsin to the late Wallace and Shirley (Masche) Schimmel. He graduated from high school and went on to work as an electrician, most recently at Seneca Foods. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting and gardening, although he didn’t care much for weeding the garden. He enjoyed cooking and he enjoyed tinkering around the house on just about any project. Most people will remember Bob as a jokester who enjoyed good-natured teasing and making people laugh. Survivors include three children, KoHonna (Reynaldo) Sorto-Machado, Anthony (Jaime) Schimmel, both of Glendale, AZ, and Brian Schimmel of Lake Mills; five grandchildren, Taylor and Dante, and Isaiah, Elisha, and Jailyn; five brothers and sisters, Mary (Rick) DeVoy of Tucson, AZ, Ken Schimmel of Reeseville, Susan (Ken) Hensler of Waterloo, Joe (Camie) Schimmel of Oosburg, and Julie Schimmel of Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers. Wallace, Jr and Jerry; and a sister, Jane Nickerson. The Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Reeseville is caring for the family.
