Rodney W. Brooks

Rodney W. “Rocky” Brooks, 77, of Juneau passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his home. Rodney was born the son of Willard and Dorothy (Luck) Brooks on February 26, 1940 in Fond du Lac. He was a graduate of Juneau High School. He was married to Janis Thieman on August 19, 1961 in Juneau. Rocky was employed as a semi-truck driver and retired from Kreilkamp Trucking, Inc. after many years. Rocky is survived by his wife, Janis of Juneau; his son, Michael (Sandi) Brooks of Neillsville; his son, Mark (Carrie) Brooks of Horicon and their children: Dustin and CJ Brooks; his daughter-in-law, Susanne (†Ritchie) Brooks of Madison and her son, Fritz Brooks; his son-in-law, Ken (†Robbie) Monteleone of Madison; his sister-in-law, Sandy Brooks of Beaver Dam; his niece: Jennifer (David) Nample and their children: Ellen and Myles; and his niece, Kimberly (Eric) Sjobeg and their children: Ty and Payton Nance. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons: Robbie and Ritchie Brooks; and his brother, Larry Brooks. It was Rocky’s wish for cremation to occur and no formal funeral services will be held.

Dear Janis, my thoughts go out to you at this sad time. We have been penfriends now for years and when Phil and I came to meet you in 1999 you made us feel part of your family too. He was a good guy to work with my condolences to you and your family we had many good times in shop at kreilkamp he will be deeply missed by those who got to know him personal.

Janis I am so sorry to hear of Rocky's passing! Please know my thoughts and prayers are always with you & your family! I have so many great memories of wonderful times spent with you all and they will always hold a special place in my heart! I will also never forget Rocky stopping to see me at work in Green Bay many years ago when I was at Prange's corporate offices, when there were still Prange's which are now Boston Stores that I now work for again from home!
