Roger Perly Schoenwetter

May 2, 1941 - May 25, 2007

Roger L. Schoenwetter, age 66, of Juneau, died suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2007, in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow the visitation at the church at 7:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. Burial will be in the Juneau City Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2007.
Roger Lee Schoenwetter was born on May 2, 1941, in Lowell to William and Alice (Leistico) Schoenwetter. On July 15, 1961, he was united in marriage to Karen Maas in Juneau.
Roger was a 1959 graduate of the Juneau High School and was a Juneau Firefighter for many years. He was also a member of the Juneau Snow Marauders Snowmobile Club. Roger was a member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon. He was a big fan of NASCAR Nextell Cup Racing and was a loyal fan of Matt Kenseth. He enjoyed camping with his family and walking in the woods looking for deer and bird watching. He was an avid deer hunter and loved fishing, hunting, bowling and working on 3D puzzles. He retired from Red Star in Juneau in 1996. His family was the center of his life.
Survivors include: his wife, Karen Schoenwetter of Juneau, his three children, Terri (Scott) Chyko of Platteville, Tami (Russell) Nampel of Juneau and Jeff (Lisa) Schoenwetter of Juneau, his five grandchildren, Stephanie Chyko (Special Friend-Dan Edgette), Kristofer Chyko, Benjamin Schoenwetter, Brittany and Alex Nampel, his mother, Alice Daniel of Lowell, his three brothers, Albert (Marlene) Schoenwetter of Oak Grove, Rodney (Phyllis) Schoenwetter of Lowell and Allen (Judie)Schoenwetter of Fort Walton Beach, FL, his sister, Bertha Schoenwetter (Special Friend-William Wiersma) Columbus, his two brothers-in-law, Dick (Mona) Maas of Madison and James (Judy) Maas of Watertown, his sister-in-law, Janice (Gerald) Schoppe of Juneau, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Roger was preceded in death by his father.
