Services: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation: Visitations will be held on Monday, September 22nd at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. and also on Tuesday, September 23rd at church from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
Roland Rollie Mueller, 73, of 214 East Ave., Iron Ridge, died on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Hartford.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge. The Rev. Larry Mose will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Horicon. Friends may call on Monday, Sept. 22, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, and also on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Roland was born on Oct. 25, 1934, in Hartford, the son of Herman and Elsie (Wolter) Mueller. He was married to Joan M. Hurley on Aug. 20, 1955, in Horicon.
Roland was a graduate of Mayville High School. He was employed with Leroy Meats of Horicon. He was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. He was also a member of Boulder Ridge Hunting Club, Iron Ridge Fire Department and Iron Ridge Recreation Club. Rollie was a coach for the Iron Ridge Little League for 30 years and was an Iron Ridge village trustee from 1992 to 2008.
Rollie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He enjoyed watching high school sports, especially the Horicon Marshmen. He enjoyed peacocks, and had a true love of birds. His best friend was his dog, Driver.
Survivors include his mother-in-law, Amanda Hurley, Horicon; children, Tim (Ellen) Mueller, East Troy, Steve (Bernadette) Mueller, Juneau, Tom (Killy) Mueller, Iron Ridge, Beth (Eduardo) Chanto, Mayville, Dan (Carrie) Mueller, Mayville, Ann (Jeff) Firari, Mayville, Linda (John) Schultz, Burnett, Greg (Cleo) Mueller, Iron Ridge, and Mary Jo (Craig) Wiedmeyer, Horicon; daughter-in-law, Doreen Mueller, Iron Ridge; brother-in-law, John (Lois) Hurley, Silver Lake; sister-in-law, Mary (Jack) David, Horicon; two sisters, Florence (Vern) Glamman, Mayville, and Marion Gnerlich, Mayville; grandchildren, Michael Mueller, Jason Mueller, Cory Mueller, Nick Mueller, Jayme Mueller, Rachel (Raymond) Rodriguez, Megan Mueller, Jeremy Mueller, Peter Mueller, Tiffany Mueller, Matt Gundrum, Justin Mueller, Katelyn Mueller, Mitchel Mueller, Christopher Chanto, Adam Chanto, Alex Chanto, Josh Mueller, Julie Mueller, Cassi Firari, Matt Firari, Mallory Firari, Stephanie Mueller, Nate Schultz, Rihanna Mueller, Anthony Wiedmeyer, Andrew Wiedmeyer, Ashley Wiedmeyer, Brandon Wiedmeyer, Brayden Wiedmeyer; great-grandchildren, Hailee, Alexus, and Maya; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
