Romelle M. Wagner

Romelle Marie Wagner, age 86, passed away on Friday February 28, 2025 at Cardinal Ridge in Howard Wisconsin.

Romelle was born February 22, 1939, the daughter of Arnold and Bertha (Quandt) Zietlow. After graduating from Juneau Wisconsin High School, she proudly earned her nursing degree from St Luke’s Hospital School in 1960 in Racine Wisconsin.

Romelle married Fred Wagner on June 17, 1961. Romelle’s calling was to be a care giver. She was a fierce advocate for her patients and tirelessly cared for her family. She worked as a Registered Nurse for most of her years, ending at Mercy Hospital in Janesville Wisconsin.

After retiring, Romelle cared for her parents and spent time volunteering at church in Juneau and Beaver Dam. Romelle loved her family, flower beds, and bowling. She treasured her cats named Bertha and Ella and cherished her time with friends and neighbors.

Romelle was preceeded in death by her mother Bertha, father Arnold and husband Fred. She is survived by her two sons; Dave (Tammy) Wagner of Oconto Falls Wisconsin and Steve (Sandy) Wagner of Brooklyn Wisconsin, brother Richard (Kathleen) Zietlow of Neenah Wisconsin, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to Cardinal Ridge for taking care of Romelle in her final years and especially to her favorite care giver Lucy.

Visitation for Romelle will be at Peace Lutheran Church (400 Hillcrest Dr, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin) on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jesse Gullion officiating. A luncheon will be provided after the service. Burial will be at Juneau City Cemetery following the luncheon.
