Ronald F. Thompsen, 79, a resident of Sylvan Crossing in Beaver Dam and formerly a 20 year resident of Horicon passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Ronald was born the son of Fred O. and Adeline (Christiansen) Thompsen on July 29, 1937 in Chicago, IL. He was married to Carole A. Chaput on June 13, 1964 in Chicago. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for many years. Ronald is survived by his wife, Carole A. Thompsen of Mayville; his children: Laura (Greg) Rickert of Eldorado, Erick (Michelle) Thompsen of Germantown, Jeanne (William) Thomas of Neenah, Nancy (Scott) Schellpfeffer of Mayville; seven grandchildren: Alicia (Paul) Kreitzer of Milwaukee, Shane (Kayla) Strassman of Hustisford, Troy, Jack, and Grace Thompsen of Germantown, and Keaton and Carter Thomas of Neenah; two sisters: Jeanne Frey and Norma Jacobson both of Orland Park, IL; a niece, Ellen (Paul) Lukawski; a nephew, Robert (Sara) Frey; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Irene Galbraith. It was Ronald’s wish that no formal funeral services be held and cremation is to take place.
