Rose “Aggie” Walter, age 80, of Mayville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
A private family prayer service to honor Aggie’s life will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on a later date.
Aggie was born the daughter of Robert and Rose (Persha) Hechimovich on December 21, 1945, in Fond du Lac. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1964.
On June 4, 1966, Aggie was united in marriage to Marion “Salty” Walter at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville where they also were members.
Aggie enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Watching her grandchildren grow and making memories with her family was what mattered most to Aggie.
Aggie is survived by her husband Salty; her children: Lonn (Jayne) Walter and Nicole (Allen) Sheahan; her three grandchildren: Brandon (Suzy) Pfitzinger, Rielynn Sheahan, and Riggins Sheahan; her siblings: Nick Hechimovich and Mary (Wayne) Siegfried; sisters-in-law: Diane Hechimovich and Harriet Hechimovich; and her brother-in-law: Eugene Laufenberg. Aggie is fondly remembered and deeply missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Aggie was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: George, Frank, John, Mike, Walter, Robert, Daniel, and Tom; and her sister Frances.
