Russ Kannenberg, age 64, of Mayville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2024 at his property in Three Lakes, Wisconsin.
A funeral service for Russ will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at David’s Star Lutheran Church in Jackson at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kurt Loescher officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. A light luncheon will be held following the service.
Russ was born the son of Wilmer and Janet (Adams) Kannenberg on June 21, 1960 in Milwaukee. He was a 1978 graduate of West Bend West High School. Russ was united in marriage to Lucinda ‘Cindy’ Dais on August 30, 1980 at Zum Kripplein Christi. Russ was the owner of ARK Plastics and was known for his work ethic which was passed down to his sons- Jason and Justin. He was a member of Zum Kripplein Christi Lutheran Church, where he served his church as a past board member. In his spare time, Russ enjoyed nature and loved being outdoors. He liked to kayak, hike, sail boat, and especially liked taking his dogs Jack and Tucker for walks. Northern Wisconsin was also a passion for Russ and he was in the process of building a home in Three Lakes on 7 Mile Lake. Family was also important and he cherished family get togethers. Russ was known for his wit, kindness, strong faith, humor, and his ability to fix anything for anyone.
Russ is survived by his sons- Jason and Justin Kannenberg. His grandsons- Justin James ‘JJ’ and Russell. His siblings- Rick (Lonna) Kannenberg, Ron (Doreen) Kannenberg, and Kathy (Brad) Burnett. His siblings in law- John (Debbie) Dais, Jim Dais, and Marilyn (Joel) Albrecht. His canine companions- Jack and Tucker. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cindy in ’23, his parents, and his in laws Arnold (Janette) Dais, niece Amanda, and great niece Ava.
