Ruth A. Garrity, age 82 of Mayville, WI passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Prairie Ridge in Waupun, Wisconsin. Ruth was born on July 4, 1942 in Chicago, IL.
Ruth grew up in Chicago with her 10 siblings. She was married to James Garrity Sr. until his passing in 2004.
Ruth embraced her patriotic birthday and was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears and of Elvis. She loved to play bingo and enjoyed a good cup of coffee. In her Chicago days she was the block party organizer.
Jim and Ruth raised their three children along with an older adopted daughter living in Chicago, and later moved to Wheeling, IL until the passing of her husband.
Ruth is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren , one sister, nieces, nephews, and many children that came to love them as extended parents.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, daughters, Debbie and Phyllis and 9 of her siblings.
A special thanks to her dear friends Kathy and husband Jack, Di, Gail and Nancy for all their support. Also to the Hillside hospice care team of Beaver Dam and the staff at both Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam and Prairie Ridge, Waupun.
