Ruth M. Ruhland, 90 years, of Oakfield, the township of LeRoy, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Hope Senior Living in Lomira. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy, with the Rev. Father Tom Biersack celebrating the Mass. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Church. Burial will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery in LeRoy.Ruth was born on July 19, 1925 to Louis and Evelyn (Ertl) Bauer in the township of LeRoy. She was united in marriage to Clarence L. Ruhland on September 1, 1945 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. Together with her husband, they farmed in the township of LeRoy. Ruth was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. She was also a member of St. Andrew Christian Mothers. Ruth enjoyed gardening, especially growing her flowers. She was also an avid quilter.Ruth is survived by: her children Diane Ruhland of Wautoma, Norm (Marty) Ruhland of St. Peter, and Lois (Todd) Zangl of Waukesha; her brothers Roger Bauer of Kewaskum and Donald (Anne) Bauer of Mayville; her grandchildren Nick (Elizabeth) Ruhland, Ryan Ruhland, and Brian Zangl; her great granddaughter Natalie; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2007, her sister Lyra Straub, and her brothers Felix Bauer and Edgar Bauer.Memorials may be directed to Hope Senior Living in Lomira.The family would like to give a special thanks to Hope Senior Living in Lomira for the wonderful care they gave to Ruth.

Dear Diane, Norman, and Lois, I would like to extend to you my deepest sympathy . My memories of your Mother are many, as I practically lived at your house. Your Mother had a large heart, when it came to putting up with my constant visits. To this day, I can walk throw your house in my mind and picture every room. Before your Father passed I was at Marion College for a fund raiser, I picked Diane out of the crowd, and talked to her, that was the highlight of my day. I just want you to know what your familfriendship ment to me. Sorry I can't make yor Mother's funeral, I will be at the airport heading to Guatemala, where I will be building a school.
