Scott A. Behnke

August 21, 1962 - February 10, 2024

Scott A. Behnke, 61, of Prentice, WI passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the John Deere Union Hall located at 258 Barstow Street, Horicon, Wisconsin.

Scott was born August 21, 1962 to Don & Judy (Plansky) Behnke of Burnett & Neshkoro, WI.

Scott graduated from Horicon High School, Class of 1980. Growing up, Scott was an avid sportsman. Summers, he would ride his bike to the Burnett Ditch to catch bullheads and northerns. He also enjoyed trap shooting, small game hunting and deer hunting with gun & bow. He helped with the family business. It started early on when he would ride with his Grandpa in the milk truck as a kid. He continued to ride along with his father when he took over the family business. As he got older, Scott became a full-time driver and continued to drive for many years. He also had a passion for motorcycle riding. He loved going on rides with his buddies and stopping at local establishments.

In 2003, Scott realized his dream by purchasing his own hunting property in Prentice where he and his faithful dog, Loner went exploring on his 40 acres. He loved having family and friends over to go snowmobiling, ATVing, camping on his land and especially the annual deer hunt. Scott had a love for the outdoors and working with his hands whether it be gardening, fixing things or planning wood on his planer. If you were with Scott, rest assured his jokes would make you laugh. He was a kind person always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He was well loved by all and will be dearly missed.

Scott is survived by his mother, Judy along with his 3 siblings: Jeff (Carrie) Behnke, Lisa Cole (Dave Kaisler), Lori (Curt) Loeffler. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Emily Behnke, Preston Behnke, Joe (Keeley) Cole, Julia (Justice) Curry, Logan Loeffler, Dylan (Alaina) Loeffler & Jordan Loeffler.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Don along with other relatives.

Sending my deepest condolences. What can I say about Scott? He’s one of the most caring and kindest and funniest person I will ever know. It was an honor to know him. He will be greatly missed and oh that laugh that wonderful laugh. He sure could brighten any gloomy day. Rest in peace my friend. Love always Chrisy.

I am saddened to hear of Scotts passing. I have many great memories of him in my late teens and early 20's when he drove milk truck and dropped it off at Grande Cheese. I even rode along with him once to pick up milk at the farms. He always had a smile on his face and was a loyal
friend. We lost touch over the years but reconnected 2 years ago. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to Judy, Jeff, Lisa, Bean! When Jeff called me that morning to tell me about Scott’s passing,, I actually thought it was about some 80’s music stuff Jeff & I were going back & forth about recently.
I have been part of that family for over 50 years, so I was a bit surprised to hear the news that Jeff told me. It has been some time since seeing Scott, lastly, @ Big Dons funeral. With that being said I can say two things about Scott. One, he would always be there for anything you needed help with, big or small!
Lastly, the song by Frank Sinatra, I did It My Way, truly sums up Scott!! That’s the way Scott lived life, doing it his way!

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

He was a good neighbor. Clean and neat. He was our only neighbor. It is like living in heaven. Our condolences.

I had the pleasure of working with Scott, and even though employment took us in different directions Prentice isn’t that big that we still didn’t run in to each other. I enjoyed our visits, gardening, canning, hunting reports, just some of the things. He always was so very nice and funny. He will be missed. My condolences and sympathy to you in his passing.

We were so saddened to hear of Scott's passing - We enjoyed visiting with him each week when he stopped in, and we will surely miss seeing him! Sending our thoughts and prayers to all who loved him!

So sad to hear. He was too young. My sympathies go out to his family. I am sorry for your loss.

Scott, his dad and brother, Jeff, were all our milkmen at one time for us. And for awhile, Scott and Jeff even lived on our farm renting a house. Fond memories of all of them.
