Steven F. Berg

Steven F. Berg, age 76 of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at his home. The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Deacon Ed Cody will be officiating. Steven Fredrick Berg was born on May 10, 1942 to Wentworth “Peg” and Amy (Larson) Berg in Sparta, Wisconsin. He was a 1960 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On January 27, 1962, Steven and Nancy Kovacs were united in marriage at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Steve was a constant supporter of his children and grandchildren. He was a semi-truck driver and when he was home, his days were spent watching his grandchildren play sports. Steve also enjoyed to fish and golf in his down time. Steven is survived by his wife, Nancy of Beaver Dam; children, Jeffrey (Jena) Berg of Beaver Dam and Michelle (Mark) Wendt of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Samantha (Ryan) Kuhl, Stephanie (Tony) Pekarske, Ashlee (Mitchell) Aplin, Mitchell (Fiancée, Alessa) Berg, Nathan Berg and Matthew Berg; great grandchildren, Gavyn, Dezirea, Jaxson, and Hudson; sisters and brothers, Peggy (Vern) Aaroen of AZ, David (Judy) Berg of Beaver Dam, Cathy (Larry) Vick of De Pere, and John Berg of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-la, Mark and Virginia Kovacs. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and Fr. Mike Erwin as well as the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, for all of their care and support. The Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is caring for the family.
