Susan E. Harmsen, 76, of Waupun passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison.
Susan was born on August 12, 1948 to Howard and Evelyn (Brown) Campbell in Joplin, MO. She was married to Duane Harmsen on December 22, 1966 in Waupun. Susan was employed as a picture framer for Ben Franklin in both Waupun and Mayville until her retirement.
Susan enjoyed wintering in Arizona with her husband Duane as well as camping for many years. She always loved a good fish fry with family and friends. Susan enjoyed attending her great grandchildren’s hockey games. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world.
Susan is survived by her daughters: Tracy (John) Mecklenberg of Fox Lake and Melissa Harmsen of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren: Andrew (Jessica) Mecklenberg and Danielle (Adam) Pulda; two great grandchildren: Owen and Maelie Pulda; her sister Karen Miller; brothers: Neal (Kris) Campbell and Lynn Campbell; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Duane; sisters-in-law: Delores Gruhn and Shirley Campbell; and brothers-in-law: Richard Gruhn and Jack Miller.
It was Susan’s wish that no formal funeral services take place and a private family inurnment will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
