Terry Gross, age 57, of Burnett, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at his home.

Visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.

Terry was born in Oregon, Wisconsin to Francis “Hank” and Delores “Dee” Gross. In October of 1976, he was united in marriage to Nan Jacobson in Oregon. Terry worked for Jacobson Distributing from 1973 until 1998 and was currently employed at Steelcraft of Hartford, WI. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, and was in his element when tinkering in his garage. He was president of the Horicon Marsh Snowmobile Club for many years where he also taught the snowmobile safety course. Terry always had a smile and a warm greeting for you. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife Nan, sons, Nick and Matt, sister, Debra von Rohr and brother, Mark, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sue Virnig, Mark (Cheryl) Jacobson, Diane (Terry) Kienast and Lin (Tom) Lackey, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Phillip, and his parents.

We are so sorry for your loss and know how difficult this time is for you all. Terry was one of my dad''s best friends and was the kind of guy that would do anything to help a friend. The pain is overwhelming in the beginning and though you think you will never smile or laugh again, in time you will. In time your grief will be replaced with wonderful memories. I just know that Terry and my dad are already reminiscing up in heaven and dad is showing him the ropes. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that my dad will take great care of Terry.
