Valerie L. Rux

Valerie L. Rux, 69, of Fox Lake passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Prairie Ridge Hospital in Columbus.

Valerie was born on April 30, 1957 in Beaver Dam to Clinton and Joan (Mohr) Rux. She was a 1975 graduate of Lakeside Lutheran High School. Val was employed with Kolpin Manufacturing in Fox Lake and later with Walmart Distribution Center in Beaver Dam until retirement. Val also owned Beaver Furniture Strippers.  She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

Val loved being outdoors and was an avid gardener. She always looked forward to the June berry season. She enjoyed traveling with her partner Waldo and boating on their Valdoville Clipper. Val loved cooking for her family, friends, and coworkers.

Valerie is survived by her sister Roxanne Kading of Beaver Dam; nephews: Josh Schultz of Cambridge and Joseph Schultz of Baraboo; her aunt Anne Wilson of Brookfield; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Cindy Munson; and her partner Waldo Scott.

A visitation will be held at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service 11 a.m. Rev. Matthew Reis will officiate. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
