Our sympathy and condolences to the family
I worked with Polly for Dr. Smick SO many years ago! I was 17 years old when we met at the office. She was always such a great lady! She found out that I liked poetry and she bought me a book of D.H. Lawrence poems that I still have today! One of the poems reads, "It ought to be lovely to be old. To be full of the peace that comes of experience and wrinkled ripe fulfilment." I would imagine she felt that way...her experiences had fulfilled her. I think she would have been happy to know that I now write novels-not poetry though! I know she was proud of her children. I'm sure she was just as proud of the rest of her family. May God bless her with his love and bless her family with strength and love during this time. Polly, you and your family are in my prayers.
Pete your Mother was always a happy and beautiful Lady. She treated Mary and I so good when we started out. We will always remember her.
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your stepmother. I remember her as a real lady. She was someone I will remember fondly
