Virginia Mae Jackowski, age 87, of LeRoy, WI, formerly of Johnsburg, IL, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021 at her home with her son by her side and the loving thoughts and prayers of her family. Virginia was born the daughter of Henry and Nora (Doyle) Raschke in Evanston, IL. on May 17, 1934. She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, IL. and had taught CDC for the parish. In her spare time, Virginia loved sewing, painting ceramics, camping and fishing with her family. She was also a skilled crafter who made many celebratory plaques for family and friends. Most people loved her sense of humor and enjoyed laughing with her at the stories she would share. Everyone that knew Virginia well knew she enjoyed a cup of coffee, an occasional nip of Bailey’s Irish Cream, a good smoke, and a taco salad for dinner.Virginia is survived by her children – Shawn (Blanca) Udell of Rosamond, CA., Sheila (Mike) Young of Vale, OR., and Joseph Jackowski of LeRoy, WI. her grandchildren, great grandchildren and soon to be great-great grandchild. Virginia is further survived by other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband Richard Udell, and her 2nd husband Joseph August Jackowski.Special thanks to the staff of SSM Hospice Hope and Pat Goham and her family for the care, support, and friendship shown to Virginia and her family.A private family inurnment will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Johnsburg, IL.
