William C. Volk

May 28, 1910 - January 20, 2007

Bill Volk, age 96, passed away on January 20, 2007 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam where he was a resident for the past four years.
Bill was a wonderful husband to Nancy Volk for 54 years and a great role model to his four children. Being an Eagle Scout, he lived his life according to the Boy Scout laws. The ideals of the Scout law are high, as they are meant to be. It is only by striving toward high ideals and keeping faith with them that you can become the person that you want to become. Bill accomplished this a million times over and his family will truly miss him.
We were very blessed to have had Bill Volk for our father. What a great man! Dad was known for all the of above qualities, plus he was a talented artist. He specialized in paintings of the old west and country scenes. Dad also kept up the Volk family records, which dated back to 1635. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He also helped in the Boy Scout program for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 1999.
Thank you dad for everything you taught us throughout the years. You were the best.
Bill is survived by his loving and caring family; his two daughters, Marty (Mike) Trimble of Horicon and Sandra (Rick) Johnson of Mt. Prospect, IL; his two sons, Bill (Manuela) Volk of Jerome, AZ and Charles Volk of Madison; his ten grandchildren and his 11 great grandchildren.
At Dad”s request there will be no funeral service.
The family suggests that memorials be made in William Volk”s name to the Boy Scouts of the Bay Council.
The Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
