Yolanda Gallegos

Yolanda Gallegos, age 77, of Juneau, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville.

A Celebration of Yolanda’s life will take place on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville.

Yolanda was born the daughter of Andres and Aurora (Aguilar) Cuevas on December 7, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas. Yolanda was united in marriage to Fortunato Gallegos in November of 1968 in Racine, Wisconsin.

Yolanda knew that food brought people together which is why she loved to cook and bake for her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Yolanda enjoyed being outdoors and doing various activities including fishing. She also loved to play BINGO.

Yolanda is surivived by her husband Fortunato; her children: Teresita Selbera, Salvador Cuevas, Sandra (Salvador) Torres, Gabriel (Kristie Dunbar) Gallegos, and Amelia Marquez; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and siblings: Lupe Cuevas, Jose (Beatriz) Cuevas, Armando Cuevas, and Juan (Angel) Chavez. Yolanda is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.
