Alan Vincent Gonring, age 77, of Lomira, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
A Memorial Service for Alan will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with Rev. Peter Lindemann officiating. A visitation for Alan will be held at the funeral home in Mayville on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow the service at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Herman.
Alan was born the son of Peter and Hildegard (Wiedmeyer) Gonring on January 15, 1948, in West Bend, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of West Bend High School class of 1967. Alan was a member of the Army National Guard.
Alan was united in marriage in 1979 to his first wife Eugenie Veers and together they welcomed their daughter Aimee in 1982. Alan was later united in marriage to his second wife Norene Christian.
Alan was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He enjoyed watching all of the Wisconsin sports teams. He was active with the Mayville Senior Center and often played Bingo and Sheepshead. Alan loved his family dearly and his beloved dog, Buster.
Alan is survived by his daughter Aimee Webb; his sister Rita Hanson; his brother Denis (Ann) Gonring; and his two sisters-in-law: Barbara Gonring and Patricia Gonring. Alan is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Eugenie; his second wife Norene in 2022; his sister Carol (Roland) Rohringer; two brothers James Gonring and Donald Gonring; and one brother-in-law Phil Hanson.
