Was looking up an old teaching friend from St. Pauls- Manawa today. So sad to find out Al had passed away in February. I remember chatting with him at Teachers Conferences and District get-to-gethers. He was always fun to talk to and had that sort of pixie sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He was an excellent organist from what I am told. I lost track of him once the family left Manawa. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you Jan and your family( now grown up). May God keep you in the loving and safe palm of his hand and give you comfort and peace.

May God's peace and comfort be with you at the loss of dear Al. My fond memories began back at Concordia Teachers' College River Forest almost 60 years ago. We shared many fun, sometimes crazy, special times with friends during our college years. The memories continued through Christmas letters, and also when we could visit with your family at your home in Springfield, and when your family came to California and visited us. We thank God for Al's life and the blessing he was to others. How wonderful and comforting to know that Al is at home with our Lord! Our love and prayers are with the family may you remember and keep the good times in your hearts.
Best personal regards and condolences to Ron, my best friend in grade school at St. Stephen. You and your family stay well and God bless you all.
Sad to hear the loss of another member of the Keup family. They were my neighbors across the street on Cedar Street. I have many memories involving the whole family. We played many different sports together along with watching television at their house even though my parents had a television. They also helped me in the right direction in life. One of my favorite memories of Allen was that he would come over and ask me to play catch with him. I was the youngest boy on the block and he would come over and ask me to play catch. Playing catch with Allen meant that he wanted me to be his practice pitching CATCHER! Yes, Allen would practice his pitching and I was his catcher. Many fun memories! My thoughts and prayers are with Allen's family. I'm very sorry that I can't make the visitation due to the bad weather we are having here. Hi Ron!
My heartfelt condolences, Jan, to you and your loved ones. May God's love surround you and bless you with comfort and peace. Marie Ritter Groblewski
To Paul and family, I’m very sorry to hear about your father’s passing. I only met him once, several years ago when Paul brought him to a doctor’s appointment in Springfield and my wife and I happened to be there. Paul’s love and caring for his Dad was obvious. Again, please accept my condolences.
Sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts.
Allan was a very nice person that thought of others first. He was kind and thoughtful, you could not ask for a better friend. Rita and I are saddened for your loss, Jan and family, as we keep you in our prayers.
The Duffy family sends its deepest condolences on the loss of your dear father and husband. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
My deepest condolences
It was truly a privilege to receive my Master of Church Music in 1983 at the same time as Allan at Concordia University Chicago. His hobby of making and distributing bread pointed to the many years during which he proclaimed Jesus. the Bread of Life and salvation to his students in Lutheran Schools. Paul, may you rejoice in the faith your father proclaimed and the comfort that is yours in Christ Jesus. In Christ, the Bread of Life, Henry V. Gerike
Jan....I'm SO sorry! May your memories become treasures! Chris Chambers Ritter
Allan was a wonderful, kind, brilliant man, and talented musician. He will always have a special place in my heart. I will always remember his corny jokes, amazing homemade wheat bread and unbelievable musical ear. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, especially Jennifer, Erika, & Paul.
