Anita Marie Froemming, age 93, of Horicon, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anita will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon with Rev. Fr. Justin Lopina presiding. Visitation for Anita will be held at church on Monday, October 16 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at St. Malachy’s Cemetery in Horicon.
Anita was born the daughter of Herman and Regina (Beisbier) Ruhland on June 22, 1930, in the town of LeRoy, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Roland Froemming at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy on December 30, 1950. Anita was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon.
Anita was very nurturing and kind by nature and was known as the neighborhood grandma. She enjoyed cooking and baking delicious treats for her family and friends. The family always gathered at her house for the holidays.
Anita will be remembered by her children: Marlene (David) Lentz of Juneau, Rev. David (Kathy) Froemming of Lancaster, and Janice (Dan) Roethle of Horicon; her grandchildren: Caitlin (Brad) Engelmann, Brian (Natalie) Froemming, Teresa (Chris) Sawyer; 5 great-grandchildren: Alex, Zachery, Luca, Emmett, and Howard; her sister LaVernia Ruhland of Juneau; and good friend Janice Smith. Anita is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland; a brother Marvin; and her sister Dolores.
Memorials in honor of Anita may be directed to Sacred Heart Capital Improvement Fund.
