Ann E. Peck, 79, of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.
Ann was born on February 12, 1946 to Edwin and Gladys (Anderson) Meier. She was a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in education. Ann was employed as a teacher’s aide and librarian with Jefferson Elementary in Beaver Dam for many years until her retirement. She was married to Lowell R. Peck on July 6, 1969 in Geneseo, IL.
Ann was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaver Dam. She was active in prayer circles, sang in the choir for many years, and enjoyed being involved in the church rummage sale. Ann was treasurer of the Grace Presbyterian Women for 35 years. She delivered Meals on Wheels, volunteered at the Seippel Arts Center, and was involved with the area League of Women Voters. Ann found peace in tending her flower gardens, sewing, and playing the piano. She cherished the times she spent with friends. Ann loved supporting her children and attended as many of their events as she could. She was very proud to have taught her three children how to play the piano. Ann especially loved being a grandma.
Ann is survived by her children: Rachel (Anson) Amberson, John (Jane) Peck, and Sue (Nathan Smith) Peck; grandchildren: Aaron and Sarah Amberson; her brother Gregg (Jan) Meier; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lowell in 2023.
A memorial gathering will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaver Dam on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. Rev. Christopher Davis will officiate. A luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral at the church.
