Audley G. McGhie, 89, of Waupun passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Christian Home in Waupun.
Audley was born on March 9, 1935 in Maroon Town St. James, Jamaica to Baron and Pearl (Stevens Bowers) McGhie. He was married to Debra Kaye in 1977. Audley was a hardworking man. He grew up as a farmer by trade. He retired from the Wisconsin Southern Railroad after many years. After retirement, he continued to work for Senica Foods in Beaver Dam.
In his spare time, Audley loved to tell stories. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, taking walks, and having an occasional drink of Jamaican rum. Audley loved his family very much.
Audley is survived by his wife Debra of Waupun; his daughters: Althea (Pablo Franco) McGhie of NY, Clover (Hugh) Rhoden of NY, and Sonia McGhie of Jamaica; his sons: Jack McGhie of Fond du Lac and Vinroy McGhie of FL; many grandchildren; his brothers: Merrick and Guy; and sisters: Una, Neltha, Delores, Madge, Nanan, Claudette, Mildred, Vilma, Marcia, Ruth, Opal, Faith, Adela, Gloria, and Dorothy; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers.
A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.

To the family of Audley McGhie I am sorry Deb & Jack and other siblings to here about your loss of this hard working man who I known as always George. We worked together for only a couple of years for the state back in 77-78 but always stayed in contact and had very nice conversations with him when I could catch him out side working around the house over the years. George was a good friend and I wish I would of taken his offer to visit Maroon Town and his family long ago. Rest in peace George and enjoy many Wray & Nephew shots up there.
