Barbara J. Bierhals, 79, of Fall River, entered eternal peace on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Town of Morgan Municipal Cemetery in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin.
Barbara was born on June 12, 1943 to Charles and Bernice (Jackson) Riese in Hammond, Indiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Horicon High School. She went on to work many years at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau. She later relocated to Green Bay where she married David Bierhals and worked at Toys “R” Us until retirement.
She and Dave spent a happy retirement together. She enjoyed trips to casinos with him where they would see country singers perform. When she wasn’t winning big at the casino, she enjoyed spending time with her family, appreciating lighthouses, and reading Garfield comics.
She is preceded in death by her husband David Bierhals, parents Charles and Bernice (Jackson) Riese, her sister Geraldine (Riese) Levenhagen, aunt Dorothy (Jackson) Simon, and first husband Glenn Schuster, and son Charles Schuster.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Christine (Schuster) Pease and her husband Michael, their two children Joshua and Jesse Schanen and his fiancée Nidra Miller; her stepdaughter Bobbi (Bierhals) Barclay and her husband David and their three children Tommy, Katie, and Libby; her cousins Sondra (Simon) Schultz and Linda Simon; and her grandchildren Angelica (Schuster) Arndt and her husband Levi, Charles Schuster, Cody Schuster and his wife Sky, Amber Schuster; and many great grandchildren.
