Betty Jane Lininger

Betty Lininger, age 82, died on Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

The visitation for Betty will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at the funeral home at 2:00 PM with Celebrant John R. Leiting officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Betty Jane Braker was born October 18, 1926 in Dodge County, Wisconsin to Ben and Susan (Anderson) Braker. On October 30, 1948, she was united in marriage with Carl Lininger in Beaver Dam. Betty spent the early part of her married life taking care of her nine children and still made room to watch her numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed every minute with her family. Every Sunday, Betty cooked Sunday dinner for all of her family. When she was 62, she went back to school and received her GED. Betty also worked for Weyenberg Shoe Factory for 13 years and later worked part-time for Green Giant.

Betty will be missed by her children, Eileen (Richard) Kranz, Beaver Dam, Donna (David) Draheim, Beaver Dam, Karen (Larry) Niceler, Beaver Dam, Ella (Bill) Zak, Waterloo, Gary (Cheryl) Lininger, Beaver Dam, Jean Ann Lininger, Beaver Dam, Thomas (Marty) Lininger, Fox Lake, Michael (Jeannie) Lininger of Beaver Dam, and Linda (Walter) Frey, Beaver Dam, 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, five sisters, Lucille Miller, Columbus, Joyce (Donald) Eager, Beaver Dam, Mildred (Robert) Schmitt, Beaver Dam, Sue (Ray) Butterbrodt, Burnett, and Marion (Larry) Freber, Beaver Dam, two brothers, Arthur Braker, Columbus and Gerald (Karen) Braker, Beaver Dam, two sisters-in-law, Carol Braker, Westfield, and Inez Lininger, Genoa City, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl in 2005, two brothers, Bernard in 1981 and Kenneth in 2006, a brother-in-law, Frank Miller, Jr. in 2007, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Braker in 2003.
