Blessings to your family for the good care you gave to Bernice/Nana.
'Twas a sheer pleasure to get to know this peppy little lady.
May she rest in peace with your father /grandpa/great grandpa.

Our Deepest Sympathy. Betty was so eager to contribute of herself to our association. She shared so many ideas and chaired our Christmas programs and parties for many years. We will miss her dearly.

What a role model! What a lady of action! What a contributor. Betty was a friend, a fellow Rotarian, an AAUW member and a bright, articulate, and opinionated individual, who added to any group or organization to which she belonged. Thank you for sharing her with Beaver Dam. we were all honored to have her in our midst.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Jack, It had been several months since I last talked to Betty, something that I recieved a pretty serious reprimand for from her in my last Christmas card. She was quite a lady and I know many of us as former students have plenty of memories. I can say that in our visits, she always had to brag about you and was so proud of the things you have done. Since our mothers are very simular personalities, I am sure that there were times you felt that Betty''s students where more improtant than her family, but we weren''t. However, I would like to thank you and your dad, for being willing to share her with us and our lives. Betty is the only teacher that I have remained in contact with since high school, and that is mostly because she was willing to be more than just a music teacher. I was thinking today, the last time I saw Betty, I had reason to be traveling through Wisconsin and stopped to visit. I wanted to ask her what she thought of me becoming a funeral director. After her first comment, " Oh, ick, what would you want to do a thing like that for?" she was nothing but encouraging and helpful. One thing for sure you always knew what Betty''s opinion was, even if you didnt want to...But that was part of her charm and I, for one, always appreciated and valued her opinion. Both your mom and dad where important influences in my life and I want to thank you for sharing them with me. I am sorry I didnt get the serivce information soon enough to send flowers, but would love to make a memorial contribution in her name if you would let me know if there is a suggested memorial. Jack, I loved your mom and so appreciate your family. Sincerely, Rob Campanella

What wonderful memories I have of Betty as a choral teacher in Livingston, Montana. She expected perfection from her choir and of course she got it. Heaven has a wonderful angel to sing in or direct the heavenly choir. Condolences to the family on your loss.

Jack, Your Mom and Dad were very special to me. Your Dad gave me my first bible. I''ll always remember the hours of free voice lessons your Mom gave me in Junior High and High School. She was also special in consoling me after my divorce. She always gave reports about Son #1 and your rodeo exploits. She would later give me updates of your success in the music business. She was very proud of you, your wife, and her grandchildren. I''ll miss Mamma Faas!! Bill O''Connor Bozeman, MT

Philip Fritsche left a message on August 14, 2009:

Jack, Mindy and the rest of Betty''s family & friends, as a fairly recent member of the Beaver Dam community I want you to know what a great lady Betty was and how highly regarded she was, even years late into her retirement. As a fellow Rotarian, she was regarded as the "Grande Dame" of our Beaver Dam Rotary Club, and embodied all the elements of what a true Rotarian should be, much to her credit and the credit of her father, of whom she told us a number of stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss, but know that Betty is right now playing a tune and singing with all her friends and loved ones that preceded her. - Philip Fritsche, Rotarian, Beaver Dam Chamber of commerce

Jack, I know you were anticipating a difficult trip to see your Mom. I hope you were able to be there before she passed. It is clear where your musical talent came from. Your are a very lucky person to have had such wonderful parents. Please let me know if I can do anything.
