Brenda M. Bunge, age 59, of Lowell, died peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Beaver Dam Healthcare Center.
There will be a celebration of Brenda’s life on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Chapel of the Archangels, 839 Madison St., Beaver Dam, WI Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Chaplain Laura Wessels will begin the memorial service at 1:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to speak and share their memories of Brenda. A luncheon will follow the conclusion of the service. A private burial service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
Brenda Marie was born on February 11, 1964 in Addison, Illinois to Richard and Doris (Utley) Bunge. She graduated from Cambria Friesland High School, followed by some schooling at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Brenda had a diverse employment history including certified nail tech, CNA, general laborer and most recently as a collection’s specialist at State Collections in Madison. Brenda developed many long-lasting friendships with some of her fellow students and coworkers.
Family and friends were extremely important to Brenda. Most would describe her as thoughtful, generous, and kind. Brenda was always checking in on each person she loved, sometimes speaking with them for hours.
Brenda loved preparing for the holidays, especially decorating and baking cookies. She enjoyed occasional trips to the casino, sharing bags of popcorn with her fur baby “Coop” and always seemed to be making a coffee run. She was a devoted Chicago Bears and Blackhawks fan. She also loved music, especially Bon Jovi and was able to attend several of his concerts.
Brenda will be missed by her siblings, Joanne Bunge (Jeff Dietenberger), Ron Bunge, and Robert (Judy) Bunge; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Kayla) Krinke, Timothy (April) Krinke, Samantha (James) Schmidt, Kyle Bunge, Kelly (Adam) Magritz, and Jessica Raatz; great nieces and great nephews, Jayden and Jackson, Harper, and Kammeron; best friends Mary Krueger and Patricia Hearron along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr Emily Peterson and her staff, Brenda’s home care nurses, and Rainbow Hospice for the care and comfort they all provided to her over the past several years as she struggled with her illnesses.
