Brian S. Gilmore

Brian Steven Gilmore, age 58, of Mayville, died on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at his home.

Brian was born on March 27, 1964 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Robert and Margaret (Johnston) Gilmore, Sr. He was a true outdoorsman and loved spending his time hunting and fishing. Brian was a talented guitar player and was also blessed with the gift of writing beautiful songs and poems. He always had an artistic side, and enjoyed drawing. Brian cared for his family and friends like no other. He was always willing to give a helping hand and be there when he was needed.

Brian is survived by his former wife, Shaun Marie Roedl and her family: children; Elijah and JesC Bruxwoort; granddaughter, Violet; siblings, Lisa (Lance) Schweiger, Vicki (Dwight) Plautz, Robert (Amy) Gilmore, Jr., Alan (Michelle) Gilmore, and Dawn (Richard) Rudey; best friends, Bill and Faith Stroede; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Patti Rowe, Georgia Lueptow, Jim Gilmore, Andrea Boden, and Michael Gilmore.

There will be a celebration of Brian’s life at the Veteran’s Center in Beaver Dam on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
