Carol W. Miller

Carol Woodward Miller, 86, of Beaver Dam passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at her home.

Carol was born on August 29, 1940 in Racine, WI to Glenn and Florence (Roman) Woodward. She received her bachelor’s degree from UW-Stevens Point. She was employed as a librarian at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam for over three decades until her retirement. Carol proudly served her country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 20 years. She was married to Joseph Miller on August 26, 1961. He preceded her in death in 1993. Carol was later married to Ervin Cram on July 7, 2001.

Carol had a zest for life and was always interested in trying something new. She stayed active throughout her life, enjoying cross-country skiing, karate, belly dancing, and line dancing. She also had a creative side and enjoyed photography, sewing, and needlepointing. Carol was deeply involved in her church, where she served as a member of the altar guild for 25 years. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to people who were housebound. Above all, Carol loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and loved hearing about their lives.

Carol is survived by her husband Ervin of Beaver Dam; her two children: Mike (Joann) Miller of Frisco, TX and Shelly (Dean) Olufson of Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren: CJ (Kaylee) Miller of Dallas, TX and Ethan (Emily) Olufson of Lakewood, CO; two step grandchildren: Vanessa Leos (Matthew) of Lewisville, TX and Cecilia Flores of The Colony, TX; three step great grandchildren: Bailey Flores, Stella Leos and Lucca Leos; her brother Charlie (Jan) Woodward of Stevens Point; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Joseph.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Rev. Jim Wendt will officiate.
