Chad Iver Stenerson, died unexpectedly at his home in Juneau, WI, due to heart disease on January 31, 2024. Chad was born in Watertown, WI to parents Karl and Barbara Stenerson on October 5, 1975. He had a twin sister who died in childbirth. He joined his older sister Angela at their home in Hustisford, WI. The family later moved to Beaver Dam, WI where he attended school until he moved to Mayville with his parents in 1992. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1993.
Chad attended Madison Area Technical College and earned an associate’s degree in commercial art. Though he didn’t use his degree professionally, Chad always enjoyed creating action figures or cartoon characters through drawing or sculpting. He had a lifelong interest in collecting action figures and toys. He also collected memorabilia from action, science fiction, and classic horror movies. He loved comedy and had a great sense of humor.
Chad worked many years alongside his father, drilling water wells and installing pumps, for Stenerson Well Drilling. He later worked for MEC in Beaver Dam and in the last seven years he enjoyed his job and coworkers at Glasfloss Industries in Juneau.
Chad had the pleasure of seeing other parts of the world in his youth by traveling with his parents throughout the US and Caribbean and then to Germany and France with his “German brother” Philipp Marquardt, who was an exchange student hosted by the Stenerson family.
On July 11, 2016, Chad welcomed his son Garrett into the world and nothing made him happier than spending time with his son. He was the light of his life. Chad had a strong Christian faith and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He had a gentle nature and a kind heart and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Chad is survived by his son Garrett Stenerson and Garrett’s mom Carissa Kriehn, his sister Angela Olson (Jeff), nephew Remington Olson, nieces Maria Olson and Ariana Austin, along with multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Karl and Barbara Stenerson, his twin sister Tara, his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles.
The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 4:00 p.m. with Rev.
