Charlene E. Dargatz, 80, of Mayville passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Entombment will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Charlene was born on January 26, 1940 the daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Hauer) Effinger in Pennsylvania. On May 16, 1959, she was united in marriage to Gary L. Dargatz, Sr. in Milwaukee.Charlene was employed as a secretary for Nazarath Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and also Harder Funeral Home in Milwaukee. She established Apples of Gold Outreach Center and had operated a Christian book store. Charlene was very social and loved to be with people.Charlene is survived by her children: Laurie (Barry) Jinkins of Eagle and Gary (Christine) Dargatz Jr. of Mayville; two grandchildren: Danielle Dargatz and Brittany Dargatz; her sister Kate Effinger of Arizona. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. The Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. Though I cannot be there, my heart and love surround my Sister in prayer and peace. Though I was always miles away in Arizona, we were magically close in prayer and spirit. I will miss her enthusiastic laugh. She will be remembered for her decorating traditions but always her love of God and He has her now.
