Cherie H. Wille, age 93, died peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Cherie will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at church on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Cherie Helen Robertson was born on October 3, 1930 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Lawrence and Blanche (Hartl) Robertson. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1949. Cherie was united in marriage with Gerhart Wille in July of 1950 and they were later divorced in 1968. She worked for Sears Department Store, in the offices at Clearview, and then at John Deere Horicon Works for 18 years, retiring in 1995. Cherie enjoyed flowers, gardening, ceramics, and cake decorating. She was a member at St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
Survivors include her eight children, Paulette (Jim) Thompson of Beaver Dam, Charlotte (Dean) Van Haren, Connie (Javier) Garcia of Beaver Dam, Maralee Ahrens of Horicon, Gary (Julie Wade) Wille of Minnesota Junction, Mike Wille of Beaver Dam, Kevin (Patricia) Wille of Beaver Dam, and Patrick Wille of Beaver Dam; 29 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Soboleski of Beaver Dam and Sally (Paul) Liddicoat of Cottage Grove; two sister-in-law, LaVonne Wille and Connie White; son-in-law, Jim Ireland; other relatives and friends. Cherie was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Gerhart; her daughter, Bobette Ireland; grandson, Christopher Benter; great grandson, Noah Schlagel; son-in-law, Dennis Ahrens; and sister, Pat Vlad.
If desired, memorials may be made in Cherie H. Wille’s name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish or Dodge County Humane Society.
